“David’s energy and work ethic are second to no-one. His ability to communicate and inspire athletes are admirable.
He is simply outstanding in his working environment.
As an educator and parent, I was so impressed with Mr. Curtiss that
I asked him to train both my daughter and son with their athletic endeavors. As a certified strength and conditioning specialist,
Mr. Curtiss employed a combination of speed, agility, power
and strength activities and routines… Each year, my daughter Jessica made gains both physically and psychologically. These changes have gained her notoriety both in volleyball and softball.
She was acknowledged as one of the most outstanding female
athletes in the area... Even more impressive is what Mr. Curtiss
was able to do with my son. Between his junior and senior years with strength training
and nutritional counseling, my son gained 30 pounds of muscle mass. The strength gains
and interaction with Mr. Curtiss also improved his self-esteem. David Curtiss excels at what he does and who he is.”

“In September of 2004, I went to David Curtiss on the recommendation of my
pharmacist. I had decided to join the Train to End Stroke group and train to do
a marathon in Phoenix, AZ in January 2005. The problem was I was 55 years old,
in poor shape and had arthritis in my back, bursitis in both hips...
As if that wasn’t enough, I had never even run to the mailbox.
Thankfully, David didn’t shy from the challenge and took me as a client. I have been training with him ever since! Yes, I finished the 26.2 miles in the Phoenix Rock ‘n Roll Marathon in 2005. Then, I finished the half-marathon in Phoenix the following year.
I’ve just completed the Beach to Beacon 10K in Maine and it was the best thing I’ve ever done! I feel great and strong and ready. Training with David has been fabulous.
I could have easily said no to taking on his health and fitness challenge. I’m happy and thankful that I said, and continue to say…YES! David’s Progressive Fitness Training
is the best thing I have ever done for myself!”

“I have known Mr. Curtiss for the past fifteen years. In that time, I have had the
opportunity to work with him in a trainer/client capacity and have observed him work
with other clients of varying degrees, age and skill levels. During that time, I have
found him to be exceptionally informed, dedicated and a motivating individual who
assists others in terms of fitness. Mr. Curtiss is knowledgeable, highly organized
and has a great deal of personal initiative and enthusiasm. His diverse client list has ranged from members of the health club to elite high school/college, and Olympic
speed skaters. Regardless of the skill level of the client, Mr. Curtiss creates a
climate of high standard for achievement. Mr. Curtiss is able to demand the
highest level of attention and effort while at the same time, he demonstrates
compassion and flexibility for each of his clients…”

“My two children have had the opportunity to work with Dave and I attribute their
success as a direct result of his training. He was instrumental in my daughter’s
weight training for basketball, plyometrics, speed and agility training and diet and I
believe that as a result she was afforded the opportunity of receiving offers from
Division I and Division 2 Schools. My daughter now attends LeMoyne and is far
ahead of her teammates in strength and conditioning, again, attributed to his training.
My son also has developed in a possible Division I football player and a varsity
basketball player and has started on high school varsity teams since he was a
tenth grade and again, I attribute his success to Dave’s training and conditioning.
I am confident he would help kids become successful not only athletically, but
also socially thru his approach, follow-up and structured activities.”

"Mr. Curtiss has worked closely with Division I and Division II college athletics, training volleyball, hockey and basketball players. In addition, he developed a Strength and Conditioning Program for the 2000 Olympic Speed Skating Team. Mr. Curtiss is fully committed to young athletes and has proven to be a successful trainer and mentor. ”
